The Detroit Lions are one of the oldest teams in the NFL and while they’ve found a recent resurgence under head coach Jim Caldwell, the team spent some pretty dreary years of their history wallowing in mediocrity. That doesn’t mean that the team didn’t have good or even great players, indeed the Detroit Lions rank just outside the top 10 in hall of famers. It’s relatively easy to name the best running backs to don the Honolulu and Silver, or cornerbacks (3 of their 13 hall of famers were corners), but it’s another thing to look at a position like linebacker.
