Kevin Bastin is stepping down as Detroit Lions trainer later this month, and the team is going down the road for his replacement.
The Lions announced Thursday they've hired Michigan director of athletic training Dave Granito as their new head trainer.
Granito, like much of the Lions staff, previously worked with Lions general manager Bob Quinn and head coach Matt Patricia with the New England Patriots.
