On Tuesday afternoon, the Detroit Lions made the news official: Aidan Hutchinson has been placed on injured reserve. He will miss a minimum of four games, but with a fractured tibia and fibula, the expectation is for the Lions’ leading sack-getter to miss the rest of the season.
Coach Dan Campbell noted it was a four-to-six-month recovery, but didn’t completely count out a return, which would obviously have to happen deep into the postseason.
“Probably a long road, but I would never count him out,” Campbell said Monday. “And I would say if anybody could make it back, it’d be him.
