Haloti Ngata choked back tears as he held a football high over his head not long after the Lions' 14-7 victory over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.

Ngata, who lost both of his parents at a young age, presented a game ball to linebacker Steve Longa in the locker room days after Longa's father, Etienne, was struck and killed by a vehicle in Pennsylvania.

In the locker-room video posted on the Lions' web site, Ngata and other players gave Longa an emotional embrace after the game.
