Nearly everyone on the Detroit Lions roster plays on special teams, so it’s no surprise Joe Marciano’s firing as special-teams coordinator this week was a wake-up call to much of the locker room.
“It’s obviously something that we take to heart because we were out there as a reflection to him,” said fullback Nick Bellore, one of the Lions’ core special-teams players.
