Detroit Lions Fire Two Scouts

Just when the Detroit Lions put a bow on the 2016 NFL Draft, General Manager Bob Quinn continued to make changes in the front office. The Lions fired two members of the scouting staff.

East Coast regional scout Chad Henry and Midwest regional scout Darren Anderson are the latest legacy employees from the Martin Mayhew era to see their time in the Lions den come to an end.

These moves are not unexpected, nor is the timing. Many teams fire and hire scouting staff in the immediacy after the draft, and teams with management regime changes do this quite often.
