Detroit Lions embarrassed once again in 45-10 loss against Chiefs

LONDON -- There's an underground bunker from World War II that runs alongside the practice field the Detroit Lions used in England this week.

Perhaps Detroit would have better off seeking cover there, rather than showing up at Wembley Stadium.

Detroit started quick under new offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter, driving 63 yards for a field goal on the game's opening possession. Then it allowed Kansas City to score the next 38 points in a 45-10 loss against the Chiefs on a chilly Sunday afternoon in Central London.

The Lions fired Joe Lombardi, plus two top assistants, before the game to help spark their listless offense.
