The Detroit Lions announced they are elevating two players from their practice squad for Saturday night’s game against the Denver Broncos: defensive end Bruce Irvin and kicker Michael Badgley.
Irvin’s elevations doesn’t come as much of a surprise. The veteran pass rusher tallied two pressures and a sack in his first Lions appearance two weeks ago. He’s been battling an ankle injury since, but he’s clearly healthy enough to play this week, and will hopefully give Detroit’s pass rush a little extra juice against Russell Wilson—who has been sacked more than all but three quarterbacks this year.
