The Detroit Lions entered Thursday’s NFL Draft looking for help along their offensive line, and help is on the way.
With the 16th overall pick, Detroit selected Ohio State offensive tackle Taylor Decker.
Decker (6-7, 310), the Big-Ten offensive lineman of the year, was a three-year starter who played in 54 games and started 42 times for a team that went 50-4 during his four years (2012-15).
He was a Lombardi Award semifinalist and Outland candidate as a senior, and helped pave the way for Ohio State to lead the Big Ten in rushing at 245.
