There were a number of players projected to go to the Lions with the No. 16 overall pick.
One of those players, Ohio State offensive tackle Taylor Decker, was the pick. Another name, Alabama defensive tackle A’Shawn Robinson, fell into the second round. Lions general manager Bob Quinn was able to snatch him up with the 46th overall pick.
In Robinson, the Lions get one of the more versatile defensive lineman in the draft, and a player with a ton of upside.
He played all 13 games (starting two) as a true freshman at Alabama, which speaks a little bit about his skillset.
