If there’s a theme developing with Bob Quinn’s first draft as Detroit Lions general manager, it’s that he’s very serious about improving the trenches on both sides of the football.
“You win football games in the trenches and you’ve got to have big, strong, tough, durable, versatile guys in there,” Quinn said.
Of the team’s first seven picks, three were offensive lineman and two were defensive tackles.
The most recent addition to that group was defensive tackle Anthony Zettel, who the team selected out of Penn State with their second pick in the sixth round (202nd overall).
