Detroit Lions downgrade Joe Dahl to OUT vs. Vikings

The Detroit Lions will be shorthanded on the offensive line for Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings. On Saturday, the team announced that rotational guard Joe Dahl has been downgraded from questionable to out this week. Dahl suffered a back injury midweek and did not practice on Thursday or Friday.

The good news is that offensive lineman Halapoulivaati Vaitai was not also downgraded, meaning he is traveling with the team to Minnesota and could play despite his lingering foot injury. If that’s the case, we’ll likely see Vaitai at right guard and backup swing tackle Tyrell Crosby at right tackle.
