LANDOVER, Md. — The Detroit Lions are down two starters in their secondary for today's game against Washington.
Cornerback Rashaan Melvin was scratched from the lineup Sunday after he was added to the injury report late in the week with a rib injury.
Melvin is one of five starters who won't play for the Lions today. Safety Tracy Walker will miss his third game in the last four weeks with a knee injury, and quarterback Matthew Stafford (back), center Frank Ragnow (concussion) and defensive end Trey Flowers (concussion) were previously ruled out.
