Detroit Lions donating $500,000 to Feeding America as part of NFL's draft-a-thon

The Detroit Lions are contributing more than $500,000 to one of six charities as part of the NFL's draft-a-thon this week.

The Lions selected Feeding America's COVID-19 Response Fund, which helps member food banks in need due to school closures, job disruptions and coronavirus-related health risks, as their draft-a-thon charity.

A portion of the money raised through the league-wide fundraiser, which will run concurrent with the draft Thursday-Saturday, will go to Feeding America's network of food banks within the state of Michigan.
