Detroit Lions DE Ziggy Ansah, fresh off PUP list, returns to practice

Ziggy Ansah is back.

Ansah, the Detroit Lions' best pass rusher, practiced for the first time this summer today as the Lions began preparations for Sunday's season-opener against the Arizona Cardinals.

Ansah missed all of training camp because of a leg injury, but the Lions removed him from the physically unable to perform list over the weekend. General manager Bob Quinn has said he expects Ansah to play against the Cardinals.

The Lions are short-handed on the defensive line, with Cornelius Washington and Anthony Zettel their only other experienced ends.
