Despite undergoing minor knee surgery in June, Detroit Lions defensive end Jason Jones claims he’ll be ready by the regular season opener.
When the Lions signed Jason Jones a few years ago, the history of his knee problems was already well-known. In 2012, prior to coming to the Motor City, Jones finished the year on injured reserve with the Seattle Seahawks after undergoing knee surgery that season.
In his first year as a Lion, 2013, Jones would rupture the patellar tendon in his opposite knee and miss the final 13 games of the season.
