Sankey, a journeyman linebacker who made a strong case for a roster spot in Thursday’s preseason-ending loss to the Cleveland Browns, said he has learned not to fret the NFL’s annual purge to 53 players after going through it twice before.
“I go to the movies,” Sankey said. “I try to meditate. I try to relax, I try to get my mind off football, cause all the cards are in now. Everything’s done. There’s nothing really we can do. They go in, coaches do their thing and they deliberate, it’s either you make the squad, you make practice squad, you make another team.
