Detroit Lions' Darius Slay cashes in with 2018 Pro Bowl selection

Darius Slay was rewarded for his big season with a Pro Bowl bid Tuesday, but he'll have to wait to see if any of his teammates join him in Orlando.

Slay, who was selected as one of four cornerbacks on the NFC team, was the only Detroit Lions player picked for the game on the initial ballot.

Five Lions were named Pro Bowl alternates: rookie returner Jamal Agnew (1st alternate), quarterback Matthew Stafford (2nd), guard T.J. Lang (3rd), receiver Marvin Jones Jr. (4th) and safety Glover Quin (4th).

Slay's Pro Bowl nod, the first of his five-year career, comes as no surprise as he leads the NFL with seven interceptions and is the biggest star on a defense that ranks third in the league in takeaways.
