Detroit Lions Executive Chef Joe Nader testified before the Subcommittee of Nutrition of the U.S. House Committee on Agriculture today about childhood nutrition in the United States. Because of his leadership within his profession, as well as his personal experiences, Chef Joe was identified by the US House of Representatives as a leader in the fight against childhood hunger and food insecurity.

Coming from a home in Detroit that experienced tough times, Chef Joe cited the importance of daily nutrition education and cooking skills as some of the factors that helped his family stay afloat.
