Remember how excited you got as a kid on Christmas morning to see what Santa left you under the tree?
Well, that's how giddy Matt Patricia was Sunday, when the Detroit Lions put full pads on for the first time in training camp for what the first-year coach called "the most exciting day of the year."
After two days of practice in shorts and jerseys (damn, NFL rules), the Lions turned up the physicality on Day 3 of camp Sunday.
More on Lions:
There were pass-rush drills and half-line run drills, and even a modified version of the Oklahoma drill, where two players lay on their back on either side of the numbers, then sprang to their feet at the whistle for thud-up tackle.
