The Detroit Lions' kicking battle may not be over after all.
The Lions were awarded kicker Austin Seibert off waivers from the Cincinnati Bengals on Wednesday, and re-signed Zane Gonzalez to the practice squad.
Gonzalez appeared to lose out on the kicking job Tuesday, when he was one of two kickers the Lions released as part of a slew of roster moves to get to the 53-man limit.
The Lions signed Gonzalez in early August to compete with spring free agent addition Randy Bullock for the job.
Both players were inconsistent this summer.
