ST. LOUIS -- The Detroit Lions were playing a team that had lost five straight, fired its offensive coordinator and started Case Keenum at quarterback.
Yes, Case Keenum is still in the league.
And he just beat the Lions.
Detroit promised it was ready to put last week's tough loss against Green Bay behind them, but came out sluggish in a scoreless first half and fell to the lowly Rams 21-14 on Sunday at the Edward Jones Dome.
The Lions (4-9) are the first team to lose against St. Louis (5-8) since Nov. 1.
They made things interesting late in the fourth quarter, when quarterback Matthew Stafford hooked up with Golden Tate on their second touchdown of the day, drawing the Lions to within 21-14 with 2:05 to play.
