The Detroit Lions made a change to their running back group on Tuesday afternoon. Detroit claimed running back Paul Perkins off of waivers and released running back C.J. Anderson is a corresponding move. The team made the move official on their Twitter account.
Perkins was released by the New York Giants on Monday, following the teams loss against the Dallas Cowboys. He has not featured in an NFL game since 2017 and was inactive during the first two weeks of this season, and he has yet to score a touchdown in 25 career games.
