Detroit Lions at full strength as work begins for season opener

ALLEN PARK -- At last, the regular season is here.

The Detroit Lions reconvened Monday to begin preparations for their Sept. 10 opener against the Jets on Monday Night Football. And they did so at full strength.

That includes the additions of linebacker Marquis Flowers, offensive tackle Andrew Donnal and cornerback Dee Virgin. Top tight end Luke Willson also was practicing after missing time last week with a knee injury.

"The whole mode changes, really," coach Matt Patricia said before practice. "We'll still be, obviously, working the roster the best we can. We'll be bringing guys in.
