Detroit Lions, Alim McNeill agree on 4-year contract extension

According to his agency, Alim McNeill has agreed on a four-year extension to stay with the Detroit Lions. He becomes the second Lions player to agree to a new contract in less than a week. On Saturday night, running back David Montgomery signed a two-year, $18.25 million extension to have him signed through the 2027 season.

As of right now, there are no contract terms for McNeill’s extension, other than the fact that it’s an additional four years. McNeill was still on his rookie deal that was set to expire after the 2024 season, so he’s now presumably under contract through the 2028 season.
