New Detroit Lions general manager Bob Quinn continues to build the depth of the roster by signing a couple more AFC players to the roster. In what has become a trend, Quinn is mining players who played in either the AFCN or AFCE, both divisions he is likely more familiar with than their NFC counterparts. Wallace Gilberry joins a depleted defensive end unit that needed some bodies badly while Matthew Mulligan joins a tight end group that has some instability this offseason.
An undrafted free agent out of Alabama in 2008, Wallace Gilberry made the Kansas City Chiefs roster in 2008 and played there until joining the Bengals in 2012 (with a brief stay over in Tampa Bay).
