Just a day before the Detroit Lions open up mandatory minicamp, they have made another roster move. The team announced Monday morning that they have added another tight end, former Bills player Wes Saxton.
Saxton went undrafted in 2015 after a college career at South Alabama. Since joining the NFL, Saxton has jumped around to three different practice squads: the Jets (2015), Washington (2016-17) and the Bills (2017). He made his one and only game appearance in his rookie year, when he got 12 snaps on offense but didn’t register any stats.
