ALLEN PARK -- Armonty Bryant won't be able to play in a Detroit Lions game until at least Week 5, but he is finally able to practice.
Detroit activated its talented but troubled defensive end from the Physically Unable to Perform list in time for Monday's practice. The team also activated guard Brandon Thomas.
Bryant missed the first seven days of training camp recovering from an injury, likely the knee issue that ended his first season with Detroit on injured reserve. He had three sacks in just five games with the team, which acquired him in his fourth pro season after the Cleveland Browns released him following the first of two suspensions of the season.
