Detroit Lions: 3 candidates to replace Jim Bob Cooter

This offseason, the Detroit Lions went through several changes. The Lions fired head coach Jim Caldwell and signed New England Patriot’s wonder-boy and resident defensive guru Matt Patricia to replace him.

Longtime names like linebacker Tahir Whitehead and defensive tackle Haloti Ngata were lost to other teams via free agency. In their place, Detroit added linebacker Devon Kennard and Ricky Jean-Francois. They later traded for All-Pro defensive tackle Damon Harrison.

Detroit bulked up their running game adding veteran back LeGarrette Blount and rookie runner Kerryon Johnson to the backfield.
