2021 NFL free agency is off to a roaring start Monday, and the agreements continue to come in.
Former Detroit Lions linebacker Jarrad Davis is headed to the New York Jets on a one-year contract.
The deal is reportedly worth $7 million, but won't be official until the new league year opens Wednesday at 4 p.m.
Davis was the No. 21 overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft out of Florida by then-Lions general manager Bob Quinn, and although he wasn't a bust — his college teammate, Teez Tabor was picked in Round 2 by the Lions that same year and was a bust — he did not live up to his draft billing, and the Lions declined his fifth-year option last May.
