GLENDALE, Ariz. — It was tough to watch, one of those ugly, misshapen games that’s no good for ratings. But in the Detroit Lions locker room, it was a sight for sore eyes all the same.
The Lions beat the Arizona Cardinals, 17-3, Sunday in a game that was pretty much what you’d expect from two of the most offensively inept teams in the NFL.
Darius Slay and Zach Zenner scored the game’s only touchdowns, and Matthew Stafford threw for 101 yards — his lowest total since he injured his throwing shoulder in Week 1 of the 2010 season — but the Lions kept their slim playoff hopes alive with three weeks to play.
