Defense Will Depend Heavily On Stephen Tulloch

Everyone knows that Ndamukong Suh is a unique and nearly irreplaceable  talent.  Ever since he walked away from the Lions this offseason the team has been trying to do just that with a patchwork of free agent defensive linemen each specializing in a single aspect of Suh’s all around game.

Ngata was brought in the stymie the rush, Tyrann Walker to pressure the passer and draftee Gabe Wright to replace the also-departed Nick Fairley. If they all play within Teryl Austin’s system the defensive line should remain one of the NFL’s best units but replacing Ndamukong Suh will require production from other positions on the defensive side of the ball.
