INGLEWOOD, Ca. — Dan Campbell promised lineup changes this week, and the Detroit Lions are making one in their defensive secondary.
Veteran Dean Marlowe, who played 33 snaps in last week's loss to the Cincinnati Bengals and had been part of a three-safety rotation much of the season, is inactive for the Lions' game against the Los Angeles Rams.
The Lions activated Jalen Elliott from the practice squad to play in Marlowe's place.
Fullback Jason Cabinda, who was questionable to play with a hip injury, also is inactive.
Campbell said this week he intended to shake up the Lions' depth chart and practice routine in hopes of sparking his 0-6 team.
