We all know that Detroit Lions cornerback has confidence in spades, but he may have just outdone himself this week. It’s one thing to play with the kind of swagger he does and challenge quarterbacks to come at him. It’s another to ask a quarterback to sign the ball of their first interceptions ever thrown.
But that’s exactly what Slay did in this phenomenal NFL Films profile of him that dropped this week:
“His first pick, I wish he could sign my ball, he put his name on that,” Slay told Charissa Thompson.
Not only was the pick Carson Wentz’s first career interception of his young rookie season, it also sealed the win for the Detroit Lions over the then-undefeated Philadelphia Eagles and pushed the Lions to 2-3.
