Darius Slay’s day started with some bad news. Pro Bowl voting had ended and Darius Slay had been jumped by Vikings Xavier Rhodes as the highest vote-getter among NFC cornerbacks. Slay had been leading for every week, but he ended up finishing second in the conference, fourth among all corners.
But Slay made a statement on Saturday night. Mitchell Trubisky was intercepted twice by the Lions’ No. 1 cornerback, despite the fact that Slay had to leave for a series in the game while he underwent concussion tests.
With those two interceptions, Darius Slay now leads the entire NFL with seven picks.
