DETROIT -- Darius Slay likes to say he's the fastest player on any football field he plays on. On Sunday at Ford Field, he made that claim pretty impossible to dispute.
The Lions Pro Bowler was the cornerback on the opposite sideline when DJ Moore caught a pass through a Mike Ford gamble, missed a Glover Quin tackle attempt and made everyone in the stadium fear the longest touchdown of the year. The first-round receiver exploded up the middle of the field, zipping 20.15 miles per hour toward what seemed sure to be a Panthers lead.
"That's a really fast guy," Matt Patricia said of Moore.
