Covering Marvin Jones was the reality check Teez Tabor needed with Lions

DETROIT -- Practices in shorts don't always mean that much to NFL players, but they shined like sunshine onto Teez Tabor, who was more than ready to escape the dark critics who followed him since the draft.

The Detroit Lions training facility in Allen Park offered a departure from stop watches and scouting reports, where questions about whether a skill set can transition to a faster game could be answered in a Matthew Stafford fade to Marvin Jones.

That's where the 6-foot, 199-pound rookie cornerback leaped up and pulled down the interception, one of very few in the entirety of spring.
