Connor Cook was thrust into a playoff start as a rookie, but so far his NFL career hasn't panned out.
The former Michigan State quarterback will be looking for a fresh start, after being cut by the Oakland Raiders and failing to win the backup job behind Derek Carr.
Cook spent last season, his second in the NFL, as the third-stringer and was active for just one game. He was battling E.J. Manuel for the spot behind Carr this preseason.
Raiders now have released QB Connor Cook, per source.
