Coach: Lions followed rules on Swanson concussion

Lions coach Jim Caldwell today declined to say when Swanson first showed signs of the injury, but he insisted at his news conference that the team followed NFL rules.

"We don’t talk about those things in particular, or when things happen," Caldwell said. "But I can just tell you this, in regard to that, that we followed the rules, protocol that the league set mandated.
