The last head coaching vacancy has been filled.
The Cleveland Browns plan to hire Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski as their next head coach, a person familiar with the situation told USA TODAY Sports' Mike Jones. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the move had not been announced. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport was first to report the news.
The 37-year-old will take over for Freddie Kitchens, who was fired after just one season.
Stefanski is the son of Detroit Pistons senior adviser Ed Stefanski.
Stefanski was one of several candidates to interview with the Browns last week, alongside Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz and New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.
