ATLANTA — Before he hired Darrell Bevell as offensive coordinator,Detroit Lions coach Matt Patricia spoke with former Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis about the job, though Weis said their conversations didn't quite amount to an interview.
"We talked, but it never got to that point," Weis said Wednesday on radio row at Super Bowl LIII. "There was no interview. Matt and I are too close to go through an interview.
