The Detroit Lions have an additional roster spot on their practice squad thanks to the Carolina Panthers. On Tuesday morning, the Panthers announced they have signed kicker Zane Gonzalez from the Lions’ practice squad to their 53-man roster. Carolina made the change after their Week 1 kicker Ryan Santoso missed an extra point against the Jets and was subsequently waived.
That leaves the Lions with Austin Seibert as their only kicker on the roster or on the practice squad. Seibert was added to the team after Detroit claimed him off of waivers following their initial 53-man roster cuts.
