ALLEN PARK -- The Detroit Lions were back at their Allen Park compound for their second practice of training camp. Here are a few notes:
• Detroit practiced outside for the first time, though the heavy rains that preceded it, and the threat of more rains later in the day, seemed to keep fans away. The practice was sparsely attended.
• A rash of drops made for a sloppy day from the offense. There were at least six, by multiple reporters' count, and Jeremy Kerley was responsible for at least three of them (though one of those passes was a difficult one to pull in).
