It appears as if the Detroit Lions have a new right tackle.
Lions coach Jim Caldwell said in his weekly appearance on WXYT-FM (97.1) today that Michael Ola, who filled in for an injured LaAdrian Waddle for most of last weekend's win over the Green Bay Packers, is in line for a similar workload Sunday against the Oakland Raiders (1 p.m., CBS).
"He played a lot last week," Caldwell said. "I think it was 60-some-odd plays, off the top of my head, and I would not anticipate that that's going to diminish this week."
Waddle started at right tackle but left after just two series and spent much of the rest of the game flexing his surgically repaired knee on the sideline.
