Last year, the Detroit Lions traded many of their Day 3 picks to invest in defensive tackle Brodric Martin during the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft. Coming from Western Kentucky, Martin was always going to be a developmental project, and the Lions were upfront about that—so it was not a huge surprise when Martin only played a couple dozen snaps on defense for the entirety of his rookie season.
Now entering his second season in Detroit, Martin is already transforming his game thanks to a couple of investments the Lions made this offseason.
