Detroit Lions OTAs came to close last week with a whimper. The only open session to the media was sparsely attended due to injury and there just wasn’t much notable developments during that Thursday’s practice.
However, we were gifted with a pretty significant news item late in the week. Former Lions fourth-round pick Michael Roberts was traded to the Patriots until he wasn’t. Then the Lions figured getting nothing in return was good enough for them, sending Roberts to waivers rather than keeping him around following the failed trade.
How big of a hit does general manager Bob Quinn’s reputation take after this failed draft pick?
