Rafael Bush decided over the weekend to leave New Orleans, where he emerged as an NFL player, for Detroit, where there's a chance the safety will have a major role on the Lions defense.
Detroit signed Bush to a one-year deal worth $1.5 million that also has incentives. Here's how it breaks down:
Bush will receive $1 million in base salary this season and a $250,000 signing bonus. He also has a roster bonus of $250,000, coming out at $15,625 per game that he is on the 46-man roster. And he has up to $900,000 in incentive bonuses available.
