The Detroit Lions are reportedly set to hire New England Patriots director of pro scouting Bob Quinn to fill their vacant general manager position, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirmed the report and added the two sides are hammering out the "final details of his contract now."
The Lions fired former general manager Martin Mayhew on Nov. 5 and have been interviewing candidates in recent weeks to assume the prominent front office spot. According to MLive's Kyle Meinke, the Lions hired former Baltimore Colts, Cleveland Browns and New York Giants general manager Ernie Accorsi to help spearhead the search for a new GM.
