Blake fits bill for Pistons at backup point guard

With uncertainty surrounding Brandon Jennings' left Achilles tendon, the Detroit Pistons were in the market for a backup point guard this off-season.

In a perfect world, the player would meet two specifications:

1.) He's good enough to run the team until Jennings returns.

2.) He's an NBA veteran who has seen it all.

The Pistons believe they've found that guy in Steve Blake.

With the Brooklyn Nets looking to shed salary, the Pistons dealt end-of-the roster forward Quincy Miller for Blake in their last bit of major off-season business.

Miller was waived by the Nets.
