Bill Parcells gave advice to Lions interim GM Sheldon White

ALLEN PARK, Mich. – Sheldon White spoke to the media Thursday for the first time since taking over interim general manager duties following the firing of Martin Mayhew. During White's 25-minute news conference he laid out a lot of plans.

One thing was clear, though – his directive is to win immediately.

The 50-year-old White, who has never been a general manager, said he found out there were going to be staff changes when he was walking around the building and saw team president Tom Lewand. White was then told by Lewand that Lewand had been relieved of his duties, so White went back to his office.
